Design of multi-objective sustainable food distribution network in the Indian context with multiple delivery channels

The paper addresses the design of a sustainable multiple-channel fresh food distribution network, which serves three purposes. Firstly, it changing preferences consumers for online retailing. Secondly, model investigates network Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPS) context supply chain. Thirdly, formulates new farming laws passed by Indian government allows farmers to sell their produce as per choice and removes constraint selling regulated Mandis. To address problem, multi-objective is developed. takes sustainability into consideration formulating economic (total cost minimization), environmental (emission minimization) social (delivery time objectives. A combination an epsilon linear programming (LP) metrics method used solve model. applicability verified through case study tomato chain India. Moreover, sensitivity analysis carried out evaluate different strategies. Results show that demand ratio plays important role identification optimal with respect objectives considered.
